Christ's Birth

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God...And she gave birth to her firstborn Son and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger.

God’s love for the world is shown by focusing on the infant Jesus. Above shines the star, symbolizing that Christ is “true God, begotten from eternity.”
Jesus is supported by the loving arms of His young mother, Mary, indicating that He is also “true man, born of the virgin Mary.”
The blue color of the border stands for heaven and hope. This color is often used in Advent as we look forward to Christ’s birth.
